2009/12/15: Brian Isle presented "The Human Side of Cyber Events" and was a panel member discussing Smart Grid Security at the November 18th mini conference at the University of Minnesota. The conference title was "PUTTING MINNESOTA ON THE MAP NEXT STEPS FOR BUILDING A SMART GRID COALITION IN MINNESOTA"

 

Adventium CEO, Holub, Receives Distinguished Alumni Award

2009/09/30: The University of Minnesota Computer Science and Engineering department confers the Distinguished Alumni Award once every two years to a graduate of the department who has distinguished herself or himself in their profession, in a highly recognizable manner.

Dr. Bonnie Holub, Adventium CEO, has been named the 2009 recipient.

Adventium Intern Will Groves takes 3rd place in Supply-Chain Management competition


2009/07/30: Adventium Labs student intern Will Groves along with other team members from the University of Minnesota and Erasmus University in Rotterdam took third place in the Supply-Chain Management competition at the annual Trading Agent Competition recently held at the International Joint Conference for Artificial Intelligence in Pasadena.

N.Y. Times features product with Adventium technology roots

2009/02/12:  The eNeighbor product that contains technology licensed from Adventium was featured in a N.Y. Times article describing approaches to safely allowing elderly individuals to stay in their homes longer. See the New York Times website for more information.

Adventium sponsors the Minnesota Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition

Adventium Technical Staff judges local GEMS/GISE & First Lego League tournament

2009/01/26: Four Adventium Labs employees supported the GEMS/GISE First Lego League robotics tournaments on two consecutive weekends, both judging and interviewing teams.  On the 16th and 17th of January, a GEMS/GISE tournament included approximately one hundred teams from varying backgrounds, all completing a variety of tasks with custom built and programmed robots.

Adventium wins DARPA Scalable Network Monitoring Program

2008/08/13: Adventium is funded as part of BBN's team to work on DARPA's Scalable Network Monitoring program, intended to develop alert systems for threats to computer networks. The program will develop scalable attack detection algorithms, a flexible and extensible architecture for implementing and deploying the algorithms, and an execution environment for traffic inspection, feature extraction and algorithm execution.

Adventium CEO Bonnie Holub featured in UofM Soundbyte Alumni Spotlight

2008/Fall: Adventium Labs' CEO Bonnie Holub was one of three CSE Alumni from the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology featured in the Fall/Winter 2008 edition of the Soundbyte Newsletter.  Retelling her academic history in studies, as a Honeywell Research Scientist, and as a professor at the University of St. Thomas, the article continued to explain the purpose and direction of Adventium Labs as an institution that cleverly straddles the borderline between industry and academic research.

Bonnie Holub, CEO joins Minnesota High Tech Association board of directors

2008/September: Adventium Labs' CEO Bonnie Holub joined the board of directors of the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA) in September of 2008. The MHTA works to further high-technology business and innovation in Minnesota, helping create a globally competitive industry in our state.
