Bonnie Holub, Adventium CEO, becomes INSciTE board of directors President

2008/April:  Adventium Labs' CEO Bonnie Holub became the President of the board of directors of in Science and Technology Education (INSciTE).  The board includes industry members from Lockheed, Honeywell, and 3M, and works to further the efforts of INSciTE: "[INSciTE] is principally a catalyst organization; providing infrastructure, programs, training, and other support to facilitate educators and volunteer technical professionals acting as coaches in their interactions with targeted groups of children."

High School Students Present Research at Cargill

2007/08/24: Camille DeMeireles, Shaked Peleg, Abigail Taylor, and Amy Whillock, presented "Nanotechnology-enabled Environmentally Sustainable Desalination Systems," to chemists and engineers Cargill’s Minnetonka, Minnesota headquarters. The session was hosted by Dr. H.S. Muralidhara, Vice President of Corporate Plant Operations/Process Technology.

Local High School Students Present Research at International Conference

2007/05/17: Adventium sponsored six local high school sophomores who will present results of their recent research at Nanotech 2007, an international research conference sponsored by the Nano Science and Technology Institute. Five of the students from Shoreview will travel to Santa Clara, California to present their findings.

Adventium wins Celebrate Business Success Award

2007/01/29: The St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, along with the law firm of Moore, Costello & Hart, has awarded “Celebrate Business Success” awards to local businesses that exemplify business achievement. On Monday, January 29, 2007 Adventium Labs was presented this award in front of a capacity crowd in the St. Hotel ballroom. The group was gathered to hear comments from US Senator Norm Coleman, who referred to Adventium during his comments as an example of the kind of growing technical company that keeps Minnesota’s economy strong.

Highland Robustos Lego Robot Team Advances to State

2006/12/13: A team of seven 4th-6th grade students from Highland Park Elementary School in St Paul won the "Innovative Design" award. The Highland team also placed first in the robot head-to-head competition, and finished 2nd place in overall standing. The top four teams in each division advance, so Highland will compete again at the state tournament in January.

Adventium wins Self Regenerative Systems DARPA contract

2006/12/08: Adventium Labs, Minneapolis MN, recently won its largest research contract ever.  The nearly 1.2 million dollar, 18-month contract, is part of a larger Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) program, called “Self Regenerative Systems,” to implement cyber systems that always provide critical functionality and improve reliability. Adventium’s project is developing techniques to preempt attacks from authorized users with malicious intent (also known as malicious insiders) by inferring user goals, enabling anomaly detection, and combining and correlating information. This leverages Adventium's background in other cyber security and insider threat research and development.

Mendota Robot Team wins Teamwork Award

2006/12/04: An Adventium-sponsored team of seven fourth and third grade students from Mendota Elementary School won the "Teamwork" award at the regional First Lego League robot competition.

Successful LOGIIC Correlation Project

2006/10/12: Adventium Labs collaborated on the successful execution of the LOGIIC Correlation Project, an effort to improve the security of the Oil and Gas Critical Infrastructure, helping to protect it from cyber security threats, such as viruses, worms, and cyber terrorism. The effort was conducted by the LOGIIC Consortium, a DHS partnership with industry to demonstrate new technologies. Adventium was responsible for developing security policy and integrating the 3Com Embedded Firewall, a state of the art host-based, tamper-resistant firewall, as part of an expertly developed, fully tested solution to enable the integration and correlation of security information from plausible points of entry within oil and gas IT and process control networks.

Koronis and Adventium win Wheelchair Navigation Aid SBIR

2006/10/01: Adventium Labs, along with prime contractor Koronis Biomedical Technologies, announces that they have won an SBIR (Small Business Innovative Research) awarded from the US Department of Education. This six-month phase I effort will create a system of wheelchair navigation aids that are collaborative and dynamic.
